Buchholz IOF Tourney

The Gainesville Titans performed at a high level given their true first tournament. We received 1 gold and 2 silver medals! As a parent, it is incredible see your child excel and improve. Most people nowadays focus on protecting their kids from losing. This creates a false sense of confidence and that will not truly prepare the child for adulthood. We focus instead in exposing the child to the reality of the situation. That situation being wrestling. If we work hard, and train correctly the results will show that combination in full effect. That does not mean that they will win every time. It just means that they will learn to connect training with winning. It also teaches the child to evaluate losses correctly. It is important that the losses be viewed as a corrective measure. It is there to show you that there is something you need to improve on. Winning can do that as well, but losing is a better teacher.

We saw this past weekend a rapid improvement of our wrestlers. It was extremely rewarding.
